Pictured is the Summit Machine High Tensile Strength Restraining Strap Clevis. MD MotorSports was bending and breaking their restraining strap clevises every race, due to the angle they were mounted on their Class 1 car. Instead of cutting up the chassis and remounting them we made some out of High Tensile Strength Heat Treated Chromoly steel. Several hundred race miles later and they are still straight.
Summit Machine is now offering 4130 Chromoly Weld Washers. Sizes, Dimensions, and Pricing are as followed.

Pictured are few different Aluminum Links in various shapes and sizes. On the left is a Tie Rod for a Class 1 Desert Racer, the mid section is necked down for weight reduction. In the middle is a monster 2.5″ diameter lower control arm for a “King of the Hammers” competing Rock Racer. On the right is an upper control arm in a 4-link on a Class 8 Desert Racer.

Richard just posted these pictures of the welding on the I-beams. So I thought I should share.
We just shipped a run of panhard bars to customer. They look so good lined up together I had to take a picture.
The sheet metal for the I-beams is all cut and bent. A little bit of cleaning and prep work and they will be ready to weld.
The I-Beam Ends are finished.
It was a good thing I made a test part before cutting into the real ones. On the first attempt the side hole was a little too far away. The second attempt was too close and on third I was still a little off, but felt confident enough to move on to the real parts.
Billet Flex Joints anyone?
